Reading Together: Re-Reading Fairytales, chosen by Irineu DestourellesWednesday 16th March, 1pm, the library meeting room (with lunch)Our Does It Fall from the Skies Above? project artist Irineu has been researching, reading and writing fairy tales as part of his time here. Huntly is the birthplace of the fantasy writer George MacDonald, and for March’s Reading Together we’ll be thinking about the imagery, histories and contexts of monsters and princesses alike with two fairy tale themed texts; Irineu has chosen the first chapter of MacDonald’s book The Princess and the Goblin, which he’s paired this with Decolonizing Fairy-Tale Studies, an essay by Donald Haase.
